Vendor Information


Vendors will be located in the same area where the cat show will held. Please be aware of this if you have a sensitivity to pets. Space is limited, so get your application in soon.

Vendors who are also showing cats shall receive a vending space at a discount. The discount is limited to one space. Additional space shall be at the regular space. Space is limited, so get your application in soon.

Basic Show Information


If you want to attend but don’t have a shelter, contact Catherine Rudy at wolfpirateprop@aol.com.

Benching will be assigned. Indicate benching requests in the comments of the entry sheet in TOES. We will make every effort to accommodate you.

Clerks will be benched first, closest to their judging ring.

No vending will be allowed in the benching area.

Early setup for vendors and exhibitors begins at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, October 11, 2019, until 11:30 p.m. No late arrivals.

Exhibitor check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday. All payments must be received prior to entry into the show hall.

Judging begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Public show hours: Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Sunday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Cat litter will be provided; however, you will need to bring your own litter pan.

Directions


From Denver International Airport: When leaving the airport, check your GPS or navigation for the fastest route. Route times vary during the time of day from an hour and a half to two hours. However, if you do not have navigation, the following are your options:


1. Via CO-83 S/N State Hwy 83 (partial tollway)

Head north on Peña Blvd. Get on E-470 S in Adams County from E 75th Ave, Jackson Gap Rd and E 56th Ave (6.5 mi). Continue on E-470 S (toll road). Take CO-83 S/N State Hwy 83 to Constitution Ave in Colorado Springs (70.9 mi). Continue on Constitution Ave to N Murray Boulevard. Turn left on N. Murray Boulevard. Follow N. Murray Boulevard to E. San Miguel Street. Turn right and follow E. San Miguel Street to Potter Drive. Turn left on Potter Drive to Mitchell High School.


2. Via E-470 (tollway) to I-25

Head north on Peña Blvd. Get on E-470 S in Adams County from E 75th Ave, Jackson Gap Rd and E 56th Ave (6.5 mi). Follow E-470 S (tollway) to I-25 S to Colorado Springs. Take exit 148 from I-25 S (71.0 mi), N. Nevada Avenue. Follow N Nevada Ave south to Austin Bluffs Pkwy and turn left. Follow Austin Bluffs Pkwy to N Academy Blvd. Turn right and follow N. Academy Blvd. to E. San Miguel Street. Turn left and follow E. San Miguel Street to Potter Drive. Turn right and follow Potter Drive to Mitchell High School.


3. Via I-225 to I-25 (no tolls)

Head north on Peña Blvd. Use the 2nd from the left lane to turn slightly left toward Parking – Terminal W (signs for Terminal West) (0.2 mi). Slight right toward E 84th Ave (0.2 mi). Turn right onto E 84th Ave. Continue onto Peña Blvd (11.1 mi). Merge onto I-70 W. Use the right 2 lanes to take exit 282 to merge onto I-225 S toward Colorado Springs/Aurora (12.7 mi). Use the left 2 lanes to take exit 1A for I-25 S toward Colorado Springs. Keep left and merge onto I-25 S (51.9 mi). Use the right 2 lanes to take exit 148 for Corporate Dr toward Nevada Ave/Rockrimmon Blvd. Follow N Nevada Ave south to Austin Bluffs Pkwy and turn left. Follow Austin Bluffs Pkwy to N Academy Blvd. Turn right and follow N. Academy Blvd. to E. San Miguel Street. Turn left and follow E. San Miguel Street to Potter Drive. Turn right and follow Potter Drive to Mitchell High School.


From Colorado Springs Airport: The route from Colorado Springs Airport to the show hall is fifteen minutes. Colorado Springs Airport is a small airport and pleasant to use. You can get in and out very quickly. However, flights may not be as economical as flying into Denver Airport. If coming in from Colorado Springs Airport, take the following route to the show hall:


Take Milton E Proby Pkwy to CO-21 N (1.9 mi). Head north on CO–21 N to Galley Rd (4.9 mi). Turn left and follow Galley Rd to Potter Drive. Turn right and follow Potter Drive to Mitchell High School.


Transportation


Rental cars can be leased for the weekend at either Denver International Airport or Colorado Springs Airport.


Show Terms & Conditions


Entry Fees:


All entry and miscellaneous fees are due and payable to Garden of the Cats within 72 hours of submission of your entry.  By entering the show, you agree to pay ALL fees, whether or not you attend the show or bench any cats/kittens. Regardless of the date of entry, ALL fees must be paid or postmarked prior to the closing date of the show (October 7, 2019). No payments will be accepted at check-in unless approved in advance by show management. Approved payments at check-in must be made IN CASH ONLY. Money orders and personal checks must be made payable to Garden of the Cats. Payments made to PayPal shall be done to gardenofthecats@gmail.com only. No other PayPal account is authorized to receive payment for entry fees intended for the Halloween Hiss-teria Cat Show 2019. Returned payments FOR ANY REASON will incur a $50 fee. Additionally, all relevant information will be forwarded to the TICA Executive Offices for appropriate action. Garden of the Cats will pursue any money owed the club by entrants to the extent that TICA Show Rules and Colorado State Law allows. Pursuant to TICA Show Rules 23.6.1 through 23.6.7.1, Garden of the Cats Show Committee may, at its discretion, refuse to accept any entry for listed reasons.


NO REFUNDS!


Once an entry or service has been received, only substitutions may be made. Withdrawal from the show does not entitle the entrant to a refund of any kind.


Cats:


No kittens under the age of three (3) months old are allowed in the show hall. Be prepared to show proof of age.


Household pets eight (8) months of age and older must be spayed/neutered.  


Kittens entered into the show must be at least four (4) months of age, but less than eight (8) months of age on the first date of the show (October 12, 2019).


Cats for Sale: Sales spaces will be available to exhibitors ONLY and must be owned by the same, paid exhibitor.  Kittens for sale must be three (3) calendar months of age. Proof of age must be provided, upon request of the Show Manager.


No cats/kittens may be confined to carriers during the show hours.  Any exhibitor disregarding these rules will be asked to leave the Show.


Health Requirements:


This is a non-vetted show.


TICA Standing Rule 205.3-205.3.5: Any cat/kitten showing signs of illness, parasites, or fungus will be escorted from the Show Hall. All entries should be vaccinated against feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and feline enteritis. All entries should test negative for feline leukemia and feline AIDS. Any cat or kitten from a house or cattery where there has been fungus or any infectious or contagious illness within 21 days prior to the first day of the show is ineligible for competition. Cats over the age of four (4) months old must be vaccinated against rabies. Proof of vaccination is required and must be provided if asked by the Show Management. TICA Show Rules require all claws (front AND back) be clipped prior to benching.


Show Rules:


TICA show rules will be strictly enforced. By entering this show, ALL exhibitors agree to abide by the decisions of the judges and Show Committee. Official show rules, registration information and forms can be obtained from TICA, P. O. Box 2684, Harlingen, TX  78551, or online at www.tica.org.


Liability:


TICA Show Rules 29.1.1.2: The Show Management shall take all reasonable care of cats, carriers, and other personal property of exhibitors, however, it is expressly stipulated that neither the Show Management, nor any member of the club, sponsor of the show, the City of Colorado Springs, nor TICA and its officers can be held liable for the loss of, or accident to the cats, carriers, or other personal property of any exhibitor. Neither Garden of the Cats, City of Colorado Springs, nor TICA may be held liable for loss, theft or damage to animals or personal property of exhibitors or their guests.
