Rescued: Majesty

A picture of Majesty before she was subjected to such horrible living conditions.

According to records found at the breeder’s house and website, Majesty was listed as a female long legged Minuet. She was born on September 17, 2021 and is a chocolate tortie.

Majesty was in the care of a volunteer foster parent, who saw to her medical care and recovery. She was so badly emaciated that she was nothing but skin and bones. She weighed 3.8 pounds, when an average weight for a cat of her breed is 8-9 pounds. She was suffering severely from muscle wasting. She was infested with intestinal parasites and had a fungal infection.

Majesty currently is not available for adoption yet. She still had diarrhea, even though her most recent labs show no parasitic infection. She is also being treated for a wound on her tail/back end, which currently needs special attention. She is being transported to the Omaha area, where another foster parent will house her and see that she gets more veterinary care by the veterinary clinic that is working specifically with these cats.

Her foster parent reports that Majesty is very, very sweet and enjoys attentions and cuddles. We will know more about her special needs and the home type she should go to once she is closer to being on the mend.

Majesty is Ri’s daughter, and the foster she is going to is the one who was with Ri when he died. This will be a special case for this foster parent.

We are uncertain at this time if Majesty will need further medical maintenance once she goes home. We will have this information once a veterinarian clears her of all infections and says she can be spayed for re-homing.

If you might be interested in adopting Majesty once she becomes available, please fill out an application.
