A picture of Rain before she was subjected to such horrible living conditions.
From records found at the breeder’s house and her website, we know that Rain (Reign) is a blue and white short leg Minuet, longhair, that was born July 31, 2019. She is already spayed.
Rain was taken on by a rescuer in Indiana as a foster case the night she was brought out of the hoarding house. There, she was kept in a cage with four other cats for unknown how long and neglected, given either no food or minimal food for at least a month. She was emaciated and had a horrible upper respirator infection and ear infection. Her nails hard ingrown into her paw pads and caused infections. She also had a wound on her chest.
Her foster parent reports that Rain was able to be adopted and went to her permanent home for Christmas. We are excited that she has since recovered and has a family to now love her.
Rain, being examined after her rescue. She was covered in sores and mats and needed to be shaved.
Pictures of Rain the day she was recovered. She was filthy and matted and needed to be complete shaved to remove painful knots. You can see in the above two pictures how her nails had grown into the pads and caused an infection. The last picture above shows impacted abscesses.
Stilll a bit timid, Rain found her permanent home to share Christmas with her new family. We hope that Rain will come to trust people again soon.
