A picture of Dani before she was subjected to such horrible living conditions.
According to records found at the breeder’s house and website, Dani (Daneirys) was listed as a female torbie long leg Minuet. She was born on December 27, 2020.
Dani was one of the better conditioned cats found in the home of the hoarder/bad breeder. We believe it is because she was valued as a breeding female and was being hidden by the incarcerated owner until she could get out of jail and resume her breeding program. But when she was convicted of her crimes and sentenced to a year in jail, we believe the family dumped Dani back in the house, which was unoccupied by people. She had been in there long enough to be emaciated and covered in filth.
Dani started her road to recovery in the care of her rescuer, who saw to her immediate medical care. Once she regained some weight back, she was transported to Colorado with Milan to finish her recovery with a foster family. We have high hopes that Dani’s time with her foster family will lead to a permanent place in the family. After she has a health exam and repeats her labs, she will be scheduled for a spay, vaccinations, and a microchip.
Her foster parents report that Dani is integrating well with the family and is very loving and attentive. She enjoys time with the young child in the household and has been around other cats.
We are uncertain at this time if Dani will need further medical maintenance once her recovery is complete. We will have this information once she re-visits the vet and her labs come back.
If you might be interested in adopting Dani–if she becomes available–please fill out an application. However, it is more likely that she has found her permanent home with her foster family.

Below are some pictures of Dani with her foster family. They are showing her probably the first love she has ever known. Dani herself has adopted this family as her own and it is likely the feeling will be mutual. It is amazing how love, care, and support can help an abused creature spring back to a healthy, robust cat that will give a lifetime of love in return.
